VEGETABLE STIR FRY Cooking time : 20 minutes Ingredients: 1/4 cup finely chopped cauliflower 1/4 cup finely chopped potatoes 1/4 cup green peas 1 finely chopped carrot 1 tsp. Mustard seeds 1 tsp. Cumin seeds 1 tsp. Black gram 1 tsp. Yellow gram or chana dal 1 clove crushed garlic 1 tsp. Chilli powder 2 TBS oil salt to taste Cooking method : Take a wok or a frying pan and heat the oil well add cumin, mustard seeds, black gram, chana dal and fry them till mustard seeds start to pop add the crushed garlic and after a minute add the vegetables, salt, chilli powder and cook it on a medium heat till the vegetables are cooked stirring occasionally. serve it hot with boiled rice. (Non stick cooking utensils are ideal for stir fry's to avoid sticking and to avoid using excess oil) |
