Mince Meat Samosas Method: For the Dough: Plain Flour 200gms 3 tbsp oil salt to taste filling: 1/4 kg Mince Meat Handful of Peas 1 small Onion 1 tbsp Ginger garlic Paste Handful of coriander leaves 1 tsp Chili powder Salt to taste 1 tsp Garam Masala powder 1tbsp oil oil for deepfrying Method: 1.Mix the dough ingredients, add water in small quantities and make a hard dough and keep it under a wet cloth for 10 - 15 minutes. 2.Chop the onion finely , Heat a pan and add the oil fry onion till translucent, add ginger garlic paste and the mince ,add salt chili powder and let it cook on medium flame covering with a lid. Once the mince is cooked add the coriander leaves and garam masala powder and stir them in thoroughly. The mince should be slightly moist before taking off the heat. Keep it aside. 3.Divide the dough into 16 equal portions and make them into small balls. Apply a little flour and roll them into 4 inch diameter elongated diskettes. 4.Cut each diskette into half and apply water on the edges. Shape it into a cone and stuff it with the Mince filling. Seal the edges and deep fry in medium hot oil till crisp and golden brown. Frozen sheets of pastry can be used for the covering of the samosas. |
